Recently my mom and I have decided to quit relaxing our hair and grow it back out natural. We came to this decision because our hair dresser became unavailable, so we started to look into other hair styles and ways to tame our hair. After looking into just going natural we both decided that this was the way to go. It has been nine years since I have had natural hair and many more for my mother. So going to natural hair will definitely be a journey for us.

I am 20 years old and have a thick full head of hair, however, I have a lot of damage from heat and my relaxer. My mother is in her 40’s and has thin hair she has mild heat damage but, has lost some hair due to everyday life. Because our hair is different we do not expect our journey to be the same by any means But we are definitely up for taking the challenge together.
